Not Intended To Be Viewed By Children Or The Faint At Heart

Here is the 29 week shot. Yes, I have considered not taking anymore photos. For one, my camera is still not working (no I have not mailed it off yet to the powers that be). Emma's camera takes not so great pictures. And I need all the help I can get. Second, I am beginning to look beat down. Seriously. However, what do I tell the child? I did not take ANY with the other two kids. I can lie to them. I did not take them because I did not think about it, it what I will say. One day they might get the real reason: I knew I would get huge and was afraid if I saw pictures of myself I would never have another child. And if you looked like this with 9-10 weeks still to go, you might feel the same way.

So Kiki, if you are checking, no it is not the angle. There is no good angle right now. Cover the boys eyes or warn him before he looks.

Yes, of course I am checking. Actually, this week and last week just don't look much different. It was just that we had seen you 6 days before you took that last pic....and then when we saw it we thought- must be the angle. Sorry you are so tired - but still glad that soon we will have another little princess. Mark's mom given her vote yet? Love you guys - Kiki

No, Mark's mom usually does not have the dreams until the end. If I remember correctly from the last two times.

And really, as a mom, aren't you alwasy tired? I know your kids sleep throug the night and all (expcet that one that stays up LATE and needs no sleep) but you are still tired at times right? Goodness, running all over tarnation would make ANYONE tired....

And I think the baby has dropped a little more again. Seems lower. I told a lady who asked my yesterday if we knew what we were having the following, "No, it is going to be a surprise. But I think it might be a cow."

I think you look great! Of course, that is coming from a woman who is only 9 weeks along and already looks about 4-5 months pregnant. I haven't been brave enough to take any pictures yet, but the maternity clothes are already making an appearance.

By the way, I highly suggest that you get your camera fixed before that baby arrives as I will be stalking your blog religiously for baby pictures.

LOL! That was me last time! I think you look great! Actually, you look bigger in last week's pic. It does look like the baby has dropped some.

Wish I was closer, I could do some really nice maternity shots for you. Don't stop taking pics - you've made it this far; it would be a shame to give up now. Hope the camera gets fixed soon. :)

You look cute! The rest of you is tiny so it looks adorable. No, really. With mine I bloated EVERYWHERE, I looked like a linebacker. A short linebacker. So I think you should keep taking the pictures, unless you start bloating. Then save yourself the angst. :)

And Just Like That.....

I made the fatal mistake of reading reviews and articles before watching a single episode of the show.  I knew full well I would watch every episode regardless.  I read anyway.  Spoilers? Not bothered.   Let me give some back story here.   At 17/18 my dream had been to go to a big city (Chicago was my thinking at the time), get my degree in journalism/editing/publishing and go work at a big time magazine.  Keep in mind we are talking about the mid 90's here so the idea that magazines would cease to be relevant was not even on my radar.  I had been editor of my high school yearbook and unbeknownst to me at the time, we were actually doing the yearbook by coding and would get printouts hoping we had coded copy correctly.  I just typed the copy I was supposed to type with the weird little codes that had been given to me on a piece of paper.  I would later discover this was actually HTML code we were doing.  Who knew?  This fu...

Why Choose It?

Judy posted a comment about being jealous at two weekends away from the kids. About how she figured it would be a long time before she got that chance. I have to admit, I thought better her than me to have the new baby. After our two weekends away and Mark joking that it was his ploy to convince me to not have anymore, I have to say.....I think it worked. After thinking about it and being able to get away so easily because the kids are bigger, I could not help but think, why go back and do it all again? If you had a choice between going out of town for the weekend or being stuck, tied down to a newborn who was feeding from your breasts every two hours and waking every three ,which would you choose? To which one might say why ever have kids at all.....fine. I have TWO. I have done it TWICE. Not only that, but for anyone who cares about it, I have one of each. One is almost seven, the other almost three. Granted Davis is not potty trained yet, but he does change his own diaper sometimes...
