*I* Am A Winner

Notice my *new* button to the right? Yes folks, yesterday marked the end of NaBloPoMo. And yes I posted every day for the month of November. I actually logged 35 posts so I posted a few "extra" times as well. Some were only pictures and some were really short, but every single day I got on here and posted something.

I almost did not sign up to do it. I thought "Post EVERY day?!?!" I figured I would surely miss a day or not have anything to post about. But I jumped on the band wagon and decided to give it the old college try. And unlike college, I actually finished!

I am sad that it is over. I may continue to post daily because I have found that *I* enjoy it. I do not care if anyone reads it or if anyone is tired of reading what I write. I found that even though this was a contest of sorts as days went by, I was posting for me. Because there was something I wanted to share. No matter how insignificant or how silly it was. There was always something on my mind or in my heart.

I have learned a lot over the last 30 days. Blogging for this month was therapeutic for me as well because it was leading up to my dreaded birthday. But through blogging about all sorts of things, I have come to the conclusion that it is not so bad. We all get older. It is par for the course.

I also learned more about other people by reading daily. Or by checking out some of the blogs that were also doing NaBloPoMo.

I enjoyed this so much I have found a new adventure, Holidailies. Yes folks, I will be posting every day in the month of December as well! I know you all are too excited to speak. Now you have something to look forward to every day for another month!

Welcome, Little One

Both mommy and baby are doing very well. These are just a few from earlier today. More to follow later.

Why Choose It?

Judy posted a comment about being jealous at two weekends away from the kids. About how she figured it would be a long time before she got that chance. I have to admit, I thought better her than me to have the new baby. After our two weekends away and Mark joking that it was his ploy to convince me to not have anymore, I have to say.....I think it worked. After thinking about it and being able to get away so easily because the kids are bigger, I could not help but think, why go back and do it all again? If you had a choice between going out of town for the weekend or being stuck, tied down to a newborn who was feeding from your breasts every two hours and waking every three ,which would you choose? To which one might say why ever have kids at all.....fine. I have TWO. I have done it TWICE. Not only that, but for anyone who cares about it, I have one of each. One is almost seven, the other almost three. Granted Davis is not potty trained yet, but he does change his own diaper sometimes...

Shameless Confession

I love to read. I have since I was little. I also have a bad habit of getting completely engrossed in what I am reading. Getting so wrapped up that I can not put the book down until I know what happens. I am still this way. I have no self control when it comes to reading. That is not the shameless part. What is shameless is what I like to read. Chick lit. There I said. I like to read the mindless dribble that is chick lit. Not romance novels. Just your run of the mill chick lit. Over the past couple of weeks I have reignited my love of reading. And I gave into the chick lit. What is it about this genre that does me in? I have found that I enjoy the books that involve being a mom as well. Which makes sense. It is relateable on that level in some way. I can not quite put my finger on the draw. The last three books I have read, I have been able to identify with the main characters in some way. Seeing as to how they were all moms. I also seem to like (this is even more ...
