Greg Page Announces He Is Leaving The Wiggles

Mark informed me yesterday that the Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page, was sick and may have to stop being a member of the Wiggles. I waited until I got more official news of the situation before I posted about it.

It saddens me deeply to discover today that Greg is leaving the Wiggles. We have been Wiggle fans since Emma was about two. Attending a concert in August of 2003 in St. Louis and also one in May of this year here in Kansas City.

Greg has a health condition that while not life threatening causes him to be unable to dance and sing. He will be leaving the Wiggles and handing over Yellow Wiggle duty to Sam Moran who has been his understudy.

I saw this on the news this morning. It is so sad! The Wiggles just won't be the same without Greg.

Agreed. It is sad because he is sick and you could tell he did not want to quit, but what choice did he have. You know?

Why Choose It?

Judy posted a comment about being jealous at two weekends away from the kids. About how she figured it would be a long time before she got that chance. I have to admit, I thought better her than me to have the new baby. After our two weekends away and Mark joking that it was his ploy to convince me to not have anymore, I have to say.....I think it worked. After thinking about it and being able to get away so easily because the kids are bigger, I could not help but think, why go back and do it all again? If you had a choice between going out of town for the weekend or being stuck, tied down to a newborn who was feeding from your breasts every two hours and waking every three ,which would you choose? To which one might say why ever have kids at all.....fine. I have TWO. I have done it TWICE. Not only that, but for anyone who cares about it, I have one of each. One is almost seven, the other almost three. Granted Davis is not potty trained yet, but he does change his own diaper sometimes...

Shameless Confession

I love to read. I have since I was little. I also have a bad habit of getting completely engrossed in what I am reading. Getting so wrapped up that I can not put the book down until I know what happens. I am still this way. I have no self control when it comes to reading. That is not the shameless part. What is shameless is what I like to read. Chick lit. There I said. I like to read the mindless dribble that is chick lit. Not romance novels. Just your run of the mill chick lit. Over the past couple of weeks I have reignited my love of reading. And I gave into the chick lit. What is it about this genre that does me in? I have found that I enjoy the books that involve being a mom as well. Which makes sense. It is relateable on that level in some way. I can not quite put my finger on the draw.
