One More Reason I HEART Target

Yes, I am one of those people who gets up the day after Thanksgiving and goes shopping. It has become a ritual with Mark and I and I think we just like the time together. Or maybe that is only me.

I am also one who would marry Target if I could. I LOVE me some Target. Not only the store itself but I love their community outreach work. They have the Target House for kids at St. Jude's. They are partnering with Salvation Army to give $1 million this year. You can go to their Community Page to read more about what they do.

Oh my! This scared me--I had no idea where the heavy breathing was coming from when I loaded your page.

Why Choose It?

Judy posted a comment about being jealous at two weekends away from the kids. About how she figured it would be a long time before she got that chance. I have to admit, I thought better her than me to have the new baby. After our two weekends away and Mark joking that it was his ploy to convince me to not have anymore, I have to say.....I think it worked. After thinking about it and being able to get away so easily because the kids are bigger, I could not help but think, why go back and do it all again? If you had a choice between going out of town for the weekend or being stuck, tied down to a newborn who was feeding from your breasts every two hours and waking every three ,which would you choose? To which one might say why ever have kids at all.....fine. I have TWO. I have done it TWICE. Not only that, but for anyone who cares about it, I have one of each. One is almost seven, the other almost three. Granted Davis is not potty trained yet, but he does change his own diaper sometimes...

Shameless Confession

I love to read. I have since I was little. I also have a bad habit of getting completely engrossed in what I am reading. Getting so wrapped up that I can not put the book down until I know what happens. I am still this way. I have no self control when it comes to reading. That is not the shameless part. What is shameless is what I like to read. Chick lit. There I said. I like to read the mindless dribble that is chick lit. Not romance novels. Just your run of the mill chick lit. Over the past couple of weeks I have reignited my love of reading. And I gave into the chick lit. What is it about this genre that does me in? I have found that I enjoy the books that involve being a mom as well. Which makes sense. It is relateable on that level in some way. I can not quite put my finger on the draw.
